Ronja Tetrapolis, not yet installed (Device Under Test a.k.a. DUT)
1 PC with full duplex network card with RJ-45 connector
A mirror
Networking operating system that can run the card full duplex

Measurement conditions

Ensure there is only a dim lighting in the room. Otherwise, the measured value may be reduced.

Decision

If you have Linux where C programs can be installed, then perform the Bertest variant.
Otherwise perform the ping variant which is much less exact.

Evaluation of packetloss

There should be practically no packetloss. Any packetloss indicates that something is wrong with the electronics.
