Punish your state

Fine Form English PDF, Fine Form German PDF

Do you feel angry at your state? Would you like to punish it? Did the state treat you or someone else unfairly?

Is your state disrespectful? cruel? corrupt? kafkaesque? Does it lie? cheat? steal? bully? abuse? torture? murder? Does some judge in the so called justice system produce injustice instead? Does the state abuse its power to stiffle legitimate political discussion, or misuse its police to commit wanton physical aggression? Did the state "forget" that it's paid from your taxes? Then it may be a perfect time to tack a fine!

This product provides

• A fine that actually takes money away from the state
• A fine that is perfectly legal
• A fine that the state has no legitimate power to fight

Beneficial side effects

• Promotes DIY, repair, or reuse.
• DIY, repair, or reuse are promoted beyond the point of economical viability, because angry people are generally willing to exert effort beyond mere utility.
• Reduces resource load on the overloaded Earth.

This product requires

1. Living in the state you want to punish
2. Postal or e-mail address of the offending state official or office
3. An envelope and postage stamp (if sent by post)
4. Printer + 2 sheets of A4
5. A pen
6. Knowledge of the approximate tax rates for salaries and product sales in your country
7. A current need for consumer product(s) which is either listed in the Catalogue of Fines below, or you can find a way how to get it in the following ways:
   • DIY (Do-It-Yourself)
   • Second hand
   • A way to repair a defective product you already have
   • Generic alternative to luxury goods
8. Time (except for second hand products)

Usage instructions

1. Print out The Fine Form in English or The Fine Form in German. If the form needs an adjustment, there is an English .odt and a German .odt for LibreOffice.
2. In the first table in the form, fill out the facts that made you angry and your corresponding feelings, and on which date they happened.
3. Summarize your current need for products (shopping list)
4. Select desired product(s) from The fine catalogue or other known sources of alternative products. In the latter case you may use the list of effective fine rates. Decide the fine amount appropriate to your degree of anger and availability of these products.
5. Last table in the PDF: Fill in the selected products in the last table and calculate the fine total. Fill out only those columns you need for calculation.
6. Now the time consuming step: actually make, repair or buy the alternative product(s)
7. Copy the total into the first table in the PDF.
8. First table in the PDF: Distribute the total among the listed feelings according to their severity
9. Add document references detailing the negative things that happened, if applicable (under Document Reference 1 and Document Reference 2 in the PDF)
10. If you are not going to send a copy to the media, cross it out on the last page
11. Fill out the signature (optional)
12. Fill out the remaining data like name date time place
13. Make a copy for yourself (optional)
14. Send to the offending office of the state either by post or e-mail, and possibly also the media or other people
15. Congratulations! You have just successfully and effectively fined the state for its bad behaviour!

Two example usages which really happened

1. The Swiss state was fined 1060 USD: the Swiss police bought a hacking software from Hacking Team, which breaks into computers using attack vectors and exploits, and admitted its use being ordered by the State Attorney in concrete cases.

2. The Swiss police was parking their car over 2 (two) parking places reserved to disabled people. The Swiss State punishes citizens for something it itself does. I sent a copy of the e-mail to several newspapers as well.
