This FAQ entry is also valid for Twister2.
Make sure the Twisters are connected with cables exactly as stated in the instructions. Make sure you are using a coaxial cable, be it even just an audio-grade. Make sure you don't leave out the shield connection and not use unshielded cable. Do not try to replace the prescribed coaxial cable with a twisted pair (not even shielded twisted pair).
Ignoring these details already caused mysterious troubles to many people on the mailing list.
